Chapter 4: The Last Chapter

It’s been a long time since I’ve written in here. WoG just recently had our 1 year anniversary, which triggered a lot of memories. The journey with WoG has been a very long and enjoyable journey, but things have gotten to the point where I don’t think there is anything more for WoG to achieve. Being the 3rd Leader of WoG and a long time deputy, it breaks my heart to announce what I’m planning to announce, but after the blessing of the 1st and 2nd Leaders of WoG, I’ve finally decided to end this journey for WoG in Granado Espada Cervantes. The decision was brought about because I felt , along with my deputies, that it was time to leave an ever lasting name in GE Cervantes. One that is proud of our history and what we’ve achieved on our own.

Starting out as a small faction and striving to reach the top the 1st, aLKayeL, has led WoG into a golden age of raiding our first official raids, vergo, and alliances. The 2nd, Catastrophic, furthered our golden age by introducing more official raids and managing all the issues in the alliance. Although I haven’t been leader for long being the 3rd Leader I can’t say I have done anything great for WoG and but I can say that I’ve given it my all and tried my best to be there when my members needed me. I would like to extend my gratitude to loyal members and deputies who have been there to support me. So to LunaCrescens and MinistryOfLaw thanks for all the times you’ve covered for me and all the things you have done for our faction. Of course our greatest assets wouldn’t be all the vi’s or the pool of elite items that we’ve obtained but the members of WoG. To you guys I want to say thanks for being there and being a part of the journey and although there have been times with some members where we haven’t always agreed on things, I just wanna say thanks for supporting me anyway and sorry if you think I did a bad job. Lastly to all the major factions who we interact with everyday, whether it be our allies or our enemies, you guys have made the game a lot more enjoyable and hopefully all the petty disputes and fighting can be put aside because at the end of the day we are all people who play Grando Espada for the sake of fun and enjoyment and there is no need to hold bitter grudges against anyone.

Many are probably wondering why we are disbanding and I can say with certainty that this decision was not brought about because of botters, or inflation, or RMT, or duping, or hacking, or arguments, or even because of IAH’s poor management of the game. The fact that we are disbanding is because WoG has grown and achieved what I think we all wanted it to achieve and I feel that there is nothing left for us to achieve.

On the 30th Of June 2008 WoG’s future will be officially announced with a final farewell party. Whether there will be a new leader elected or if WoG will disband will be decided then. In the event that we are disbanding, there will most likely be a small contingency of people who will be remaking another faction, one that isn’t hardcore raid orientated, one that isn’t hardcore war related, but one which is hardcore friendly and there to enjoy the game for what it should be.

I just want to say that after all we’ve been through and all the friends, and enemies we’ve made, I hope to see as many people in Cervantes, enemies and friends a like, to join us (hopefully the map doesn’t lag and crash).

Yours Sincerely,

Callisto
