What’s New In Town…

It’s been awhile since I last posted a real entry. I’ve been meaning to post an update lately on alk’s behalf but been flat out busy as you guys know organizing this and that. This post is quite a long one so grab a cup of tea or coffee and get cosy in your seat as this may take you awhile to read (I’ll try and be as short and brief as I can).

Faction Members
WrathOfGod is one of the oldest factions in the server that is still thriving. Countless other factions have merged into this great faction including ChaosLegion, DarkCrusade & SilentWave (we welcome you with open arms and hope you like it here guys). With that in mind, our faction now has 100 Active Members which, when I say this I believe everyone in the faction would agree, we treat like family and close friends. With more people wishing to join our faction the best we can do is setup a waiting list and be strict on activeness. Having 100 members isn’t much of a feat, but our Veteran count and online count I would have to say, without trying to boast too much, can rival any other faction in the server. Adding to our prosperity, by request, Hrin has recently joined our ranks as an Honoured Guest. It’s our privilege to be able to have her and we all wish her a joyful stay in our faction.

Alliances
Surviving in Cervantes without friends to watch your back is a dangerous and foolish thing to do. We recently became part of an alliance with the following factions. Halycon, Vradical, Fukkatsu & GuardsOfHonour and are on a NAP (Non-Aggressive Pact) with Apathy & MafiaClub. Having said that we don’t wish to dominate the server and not let other factions have a chance at war. Hence in the case of a faction within one of these are attacked we will not retaliate unless they are being wiped off the map. All members should note that we do not want any conflict with the factions listed above so treat them as our own if you cross their paths. I pray they too will do the same.

Colony Wars
Over the past weeks of endlessly trying to topple the Fenrir/Illumanati we have finally succeeded. Long gone is the days of Yakisoba and Dominion, so too are the days of Illumanati & Fenrir. The war that past has ended a long tyrannous era. This week begins a new time for our new generation for our new World of Granado Espada. Moving onto more about us, our strategy of organising Defensive and Offensive teams has proven success with our response times getting faster and faster we are now proud owners of El Lago Hermanas, Ferrucio Junction & Pradera Ceniza. This of course couldn’t be achieved without the strength of our members and the bonds of our alliance.

Raids
What can I say……… No really what am I allowed to say hahahaha. In order to protect our little raids from being discovered and then getting KS, our members have pretty much sworn an oath of secrecy. Now I’m sure some will leak out information eventually but hopefully by the time everyone else catches up on what we are doing we will be fully elite. We have many raids going on these days, some not so successful in obtaining items some are very successful. Thanks to this our faction members are getting stronger and stronger everyday. Now that the handful of members with elites have turned into a dozen or more, we pray that the Goddess of Enchantment will shine their light upon our members and bless them with uber stats. To help distribute these items that are recieved in raids, we have set up a RP system (Reward/Raid Point) where members can bid for items in the Faction Bank using their RP’s. Unfortunately these raids are usually limited to Veteran status members only, so hopefully our non-Veteran members can catch up. To help out with this process we have setup a Power Levelling Squad (Please check details on forums). If anymore information is required don’t hesitate to post a question in the forums or simply ask one of the Veteran members about these raids.

 

 

[edit]I was going to leave that as it was but as you are all aware we have been squabbling lately over these raid items. Hopefully we can sort all these issues out, I mean afterall if we can’t then we may as well just give up raiding.[/edit]

PvP Sessions
With more and more of you guys getting elites, PvP sessions are getting harder and harder for me & the other Elite Platers *lookz at aLK*… anyhow that’s a good thing. I’d have to say a lot of you are very pro PvP’ers but just lack in equipment which is slowly not true anymore. I think PvP Training Sessions have been quite enjoyable and I’d like to think overall that it has helped us in some way improve our PvP skills and CW skills and possibly make the world of GE slightly more enjoyable.

Things to Look Forward To
What do we expect to become of us in the future? Just take one looking at all the above I think we still have area’s which we can improve on, but overall I think we’re doing really well as a faction. We strive and achieve our goal… To enjoy this game together as friends and hopefully we get more uber elites with godly stats =]

Colony War 18th November 2007

Before my report on the momentous events happening in today’s Colony Wars session, I give you: the new world map of Granado Espada [Cervantes server].

First note of interest: Illuminati faction seem to have taken the week off. The first hint of this came in this blog post by Arcleaumont. You can see in that cropped screenshot of the faction chat where miyake makes a statement to that effect.

Later on, during tonight’s war, a source confirmed for me that Illuminati were absenting themselves from this week’s Colony Wars.

As they had been allied with Illuminati, Fenrir faction also took a hard hit in this week’s Colony Wars. Many factions declared war on them, hoping to take a colony or two for themselves.

Taking advantage of such a leave of absence and the ensuing imbalance in that alliance, several factions both old and new stormed in to stamp their names all over the world map: Vradical, Halcyon, Apathy, WrathOfGod, Fukkatsu, GuardsOfHonour, and MaFiaCLuB™ factions.

And that’s the reason why the map above looks like it’s been through a hell of a revolution. ^^

Here’s a list of the factions that declared war on each other. Those lines marked “truced” mean that the truce was declared during the Colony Wars session; other truces were declared after, and are not noted here.

Of particular note are the new / younger factions that have captured colonies and / or were active during the struggle for those colonies. Apathy faction is the present owner of the colony at Rio Albi; Eurynomous, TEriYaki, and MaFiaCLuB™ were active during the battles for the colonies.

Notes from WrathOfGod:

Last week WrathOfGod faction, of which I’m currently a member, managed to grab the Pradera de Ceniza colony and keep it to the end. With that in mind, and wanting to help the faction, I signed up to help defend the colony.

Many of the faction’s members converged on our lone outpost to help defend it. In the screenshot below, I think I still missed a few people who were on the other edges of my monitor:

As our squad hunkered down to defend the colony, the news was broadcast all over the server at frequent intervals. Within the first 30 minutes of the Colony Wars session, all of Illuminati’s colonies were gone.

One enemy down, then. Fenrir, on the other hand, seemed to be fairly busy with many of its colonies being attacked, so we had nothing to do, really, for a very long time. Some of us actually passed the time by leveling off the assorted dogs in the map ^^

There was a brief debate in the faction over whether or not to go look for another colony to take; but the back-and-forth was rendered moot when this came up on the screen:

And then there were two: Pradera de Ceniza, and the Ferruccio Junction.

With the war down to its final hour, the messages began to come in – Illuminati faction, which we were at war with, was in Pradera – but it turned out that some of its members had simply decided to hunt Diablo, and were busy trying to summon him. That done, some of them actually attempted to attack us, but with the numbers that we had been able to amass for defense, we managed to repel them with some effort.

Next week promises to be even more action-packed. Diversity has been restored to the map, Illuminati may yet attempt a comeback, and WrathOfGod now has two colonies to defend!

Faction notes:

Halcyon faction includes several former Yakisoba members, while TEriYaki is rumored to be populated by former ASA members.

It seems that someone has formed a new CARNAGE faction; I’ll try to get details on that during the week.

After this night’s Colony Wars session, Fenrir faction leader forian, as well as leading member Mew, announced that they were leaving the game. Fenrir is now led by Utopian.
